Power and Beauty in Black and White

Milaneseese socialite Gianna Carrano is a professional photographer who focuses on the use of beautiful, sculpturesque images to explore philosophy and life. Carrano excels at using concise and powerful visual metaphors to depict human interaction and internal strife. Kuan’s Living is introducing three series—Narciso, Hanging By A Thread and Under My Hat—comprising poetically concise and powerful works that express strength and beauty.

Narciso
In this series, solitary and dejected Narcissus stares into the water. However, the water gives no reflection; instead, the Narcissus’s graceful form, seen from the rear, blends harmoniously with the natural landscape.

Hanging By A Thread
This composition encapsulates instability, the lines symbolizing the unknown dimension beyond and the fragile balance between dream and reality, beauty and ugliness, good and evil, order and chaos, love and spirit.

Under My Hat
Seen from above, the hat appears to bring together heaven and earth. Between the tangible and the abstract, below the brim an untold story lies.
